Emer Curran – Commercial Director
Emer started her career in the Public Service sector over 30 years ago where she gained a wealth of experience working within various departments. Emer has a passion for problem-solving and the challenges it brings and is responsible for fiscal management and planning, sales and marketing and strategic business planning with Ireland’s Eye Language Academy.
Outside of IELA, Emer’s enjoys being a member of Singsation, an all-female singing Group. Emer is a mother to Cillian, Bríana & Siân and is married to Michael.
Nicky Rudd – Customer Care Director
Nicky started her career in Bank of Ireland at the age of 17 and worked in Retail Banking for many years, completing her career with Bank of Ireland in Global Markets in 2015. Her customer service quality ethos came from her excellent training from the early days with Bank of Ireland, where personalised customer service was a highly valued asset.
Nicky has excellent leadership and communication skills which are her signature qualities and hugely beneficial to IELA and everything they promise to their clients.
Nicky has 2 adult children, 1 granddaughter and lives in Sutton with her husband, Mark.
Niall Curran – Managing Director
Having studied Marketing for 5 years graduating from Trinity College Dublin, Niall went on to become Sales & Marketing Director at United Drug Plc. managing brands such as Canon, Ray Ban and Clarins to name but a few.
Niall went on to join a new start up within the Information Management space in Dublin. He went on to manage this business for 18 years leading the business through acquisitions in the UK and the eventual sale of the business on 3 separate occasions. The last sale was for an industry record 16.5 times EBITDA.
Niall loves GAA having played and managed teams to the highest club level with notable success. He also can be seen regularly on the tennis court.
Donna Wilson – Chief Operations Officer
Donna started her career in Dublin and then relocated to work in Europe where she spent 15 years working for various International companies. Upon Donna’s relocation to Dublin, she has worked in the Logistics, Charitable, Construction and IT sectors where she gained extensive experience in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing and is certified in Human Resources and Business Management. Donna brings these extensive skills and experience with her to her role of Chief Operations Officer with Ireland’s Eye Language Academy.
Donna likes to spend time travelling and seeking new adventures but when in Dublin, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
Amanda Nangle – Host Family Co-Ordinator
Amanda is a mother of four young teenage children. She and her husband have run a successful retail business for the past 22 years, so she has vast experience dealing with the general public on a daily basis. Amanda communicates brilliantly with children (being heavily involved with the local Soccer school) and adults alike.
Amanda is very diligent and would be a go to person to get things done. Amanda’s integrity, honesty and reliability is something we at Ireland’s Eye Language Academy value, that along with her organisational and communication skills are something we value very much, and we are delighted that Amanda is part of our team.
Darina Cipriani – Teacher
Darina was born and raised in Dublin and says that she feels very lucky and proud to have grown up in the Howth area.
Darina holds a BA from Trinity College, Dublin where she studied French and Spanish. As a student of languages, Darina has a strong interest in all aspects of language learning and gained her CELT qualification four years ago. Darina has taught General and Business English since then to both adults and children.
In Darina’s spare time, she loves to read and walk around the beautiful Howth area taking photographs and solving grammar problems!!
